Meet the artist

Loony is Normal is a self-taught composer, producer, and visual artist from the West Side of Chicago, building a creative world where sound, image, and atmosphere move together. As a musician, his signature polyrhythmic drums and vast, spacey synths, delivered through his preferred Maschine MK2 drum pad, create immersive soundscapes that fuel his brand of psychedelic storytelling. Trippy, dark, and hypnotic, his production pulls listeners into unpredictable sonic worlds that feel cinematic, emotional, and surreal.

That same dreamlike energy carries into his visual art.          Through photography, digital manipulation, and mixed media experimentation, Loony is Normal creates work shaped by bold color, moody shadows, city-driven imagery, and emotional depth. His pieces transform ordinary moments into something otherworldly and alive, blurring the line between reality, memory, and imagination. His practice also extends into hand-drawn map work and visual experimentation, expanding his artistic language across music, fine art, and design.

    Together, these disciplines form a distinct multidisciplinary identity rooted in mood, world-building, and altered perception. Whether through sound or image, Loony is Normal creates work that feels like stepping into a dream with texture, tension, and movement.
